FAIRE 2021

Building on the success achieved by the previous editions and the 60+ teams already supported, Pavillon de l’Arsenal is launching the fifth session of the FAIRE call for projects alongside the City of Paris, Caisse des dépôts, MINI, and EDF.

Building on the success achieved by the previous editions and the 60+ teams already supported, Pavillon de l’Arsenal is launching the fifth session of the FAIRE call for projects alongside the City of Paris, Caisse des dépôts, MINI, and EDF.+

FAIRE invites architects, creators, designers, engineers, landscapers, city planners, and others—whether emergent, students or confirmed professionals—to question existing models that are incompatible with social and ecological transitions, to reveal those that must be guided into urban adaptation, to regenerate negative externalities, and finally, to imagine new hybrid and re-territorialized solutions.

A pioneer in urban and architectural project-based research, FAIRE allows recipients to undertake research and experiments that wouldn’t have otherwise existed by providing selected teams with financial support, technical and logistical resources, territories for adapted expression, and personalized assistance in view of the needs of each team. FAIRE is an open space for study and experimentation with the intention of having the discoveries and results shared as widely as possible.

Taking part is easy. Simply send a short presentation of your project, team, timeline, needs, and expectations. An expert commission will review all proposals. The most groundbreaking entries will be auditioned by FAIRE’s partners and a panel of winners of previous editions.

Caisse des Dépôts’s Sponsorship is proudly supporting innovation and experimentation in the field of architecture and urban planning as part of the 5th edition of FAIRE, a fresh opportunity to bring to the fore research that is geared towards solving the greatest challenges facing our society!
Sylvie Roger — Head of Sponsorship and Partnerships, Caisse des Dépôts

“MINI is proud to support FAIRE for the 4th year now. Understanding the city as a whole and making sense of the needs of modern urban life and the challenges of future mobility are central to our approach. Our desire is to, alongside our partners, ensure that we offer products, services, and experiences that are highly relevant to the urban life of each and all.
Guillaume de Sazilly, Head of MINI France

In order to help drive the urban transformation in progress, we are delighted to be supporting FAIRE’s distinctive approach that echoes perfectly EDF Group’s mission, which is to ‘Build a net zero energy future with electricity and innovative solutions and services, to help save the planet and drive wellbeing and economic development.’ This unique initiative is bound to inspire, in a practical manner, the path to transition on which we are engaged with the City of Paris and Pavillon de l’Arsenal.
Hélène Milot, Regional Development Director for Île-de-France, EDF

“We must re-examine our urban and architectural models to make them compatible with the ecological and social transition. The accelerator is purposefully designed to provide creators with the resources needed to explore new forms of knowledge and experiment with new ways of doing.”
Alexandre Labasse, Managing Director of Pavillon de l'Arsenal
