Launched in 2017 by the Pavillon de l’Arsenal with the support of the City of Paris, FAIRE invites multidisciplinary teams—architects, urban planners, landscape designers, designers, engineers, researchers, artists, journalists, collectives, associations, students…—to propose innovative research and experimental projects.
What is FAIRE?
FAIRE offers urban and architectural actors the opportunity to submit proposals addressing major urban challenges: biodiversity, urban heat islands, low-carbon construction, energy efficiency, as well as the redefinition of urban professions, resource-sharing, and co-production.
FAIRE aims to accelerate the emergence of experimental architectural and urban practices, to facilitate the implementation of full-scale prototypes in Paris and Greater Paris, to support and promote applied research, and to foster the development of new processes, materials, and construction programs.
